The 2016 58th Annual Grammy Awards is Here - Latest News and Update!

The Biggest night in Music History is just few hours from now and excitement is filling the air already as America and the world's music lovers wait patiently to see who gets the Grammy award(s), their favourite singer or someone else. With so many performers and presenters to be featured on the night, the 2016 Grammy Awards will be the 58th of its type and its scheduled date and time is - February 15, 2016 at 5:00 PM. Going down Live at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.



The Ceremony recognizes the best recordings, compositions and artists of the eligibility year, which is from October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015. The "pre-telecast" ceremony, officially known as the Premiere Ceremony, in which the majority of awards will be presented, will be held at the nearby Microsoft Theater. It will be the 16th Grammy ceremony to be held at the Staples Center, tying the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles for hosting the most Grammy ceremonies. It also marks the latest date for a Grammy ceremony since 2003, which were held on February 23.

Unlike previous years, where it was held on a Sunday, the 2016 edition will be held on a Monday for the first time to take advantage of the U.S. Presidents' Day long weekend. The ceremony will be televised in the United States by CBS; for the first time, CBS affiliates in the western half of the country will have the option of broadcasting the Grammy's live, rather than only airing tape delayed in local prime time.


Nominations for the 58th Grammy Awards have been announced and Kendrick Lamar received the most nominations with 11,  surpassing Eminem as the rapper with the most nominations in a single night, and second overall behind Michael Jackson (12 nominations in 1984). Taylor Swift and The Weeknd received seven nominations each. Producer Max Martin received the most nominations for a non-performing artist, with 6. LL Cool J will host for the fifth straight year. Gwen Stefani's "Make Me Like You" music video will be acted out, filmed and broadcast live during a four-minute Grammys commercial break on CBS.
