Shakira and her longtime boyfriend, Football player, Gerard Piqué, welcomed their second child, a bouncing baby boy yesterday. The former coach of “The Voice” announced the news of her son, Sasha
Piqué Mebarak, on her website which said that mom and baby are in
“excellent health.”

“We are happy to announce the birth of Sasha Piqué Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Piqué,” the statement said. “Born January 29 at 9:54pm, in Barcelona.”
The couple, who met while Shakira was filming the video for her 2010
World Cup anthem “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa),” announced that they
were expecting their second baby back in August and thanks to God, here comes the baby and his mama in excelent condition. Shakira and Piqué explained the meaning of their baby’s name through Shakira's Blog, saying
“The name Sasha is of Greek and Russian descent and means “defender of mankind” and “warrior,”
